Short and easy walk if you are staying at Skerryback Cottages, or alternatively if you come by car and park at the waypoint marked Parking. From the cottages you walk down on the small asphalt road towards Sandy Haven through dense foliage. At the waypoint marked 'Wales Coast Path' you take the Wales/Pembrokeshire coast path up through the woods and follow this along Sandy Haven (hardly visible through the foliage) towards Milford Haven. If you'd like to see Sandy Haven and catch crabs or walk the sand you could first continue the asphalt road towards Sandy Haven waypoint, and later return to the path. You follow the Coast Path when it gets out of the woods and you get nice views of cliffs, Milford Haven with the refinery across the bay, and Angle across the bay. At Butts Bay you get down to the sea at a small beach (see waypoint). We saw a dead seal here on the rocks! You continue towards Great Castle Head. Just before the buildings here, you turn right. Further west you could see Lindsway Bay, but you continue here on a broad track away from the coast, first uphill, and then into a small wooded valley and then on towards the waypoint marked Parking. Here you turn right back on the small asphalt road towards the cottages.
No facilities during this walk. It was grey/raining on the day of the hike; with clear weather the views are great. The altitude was measured wrongly at the start of the hike (should have been about 35 m).
Here there is some place to park a car and an alternative starting point of the walk.
Rocky beach. We found a dead seal here.
Quiet bay which floods at high tide, but is reduced to a small creek at low-tide. At low-tide you could cross the bay here. It is supposed to be excellent for crabbing. Pictures made on the evening before the walk.
Here you leave the small asphalt road and follow the Wales or Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
