Starting off from La Trobe University after 300 metres I stop for snacks at Woolworths :-)
The trail climbs Mt Cooper, the tallest mountain in Melbourne (It's basically a hill with a gentle slope up to it.)
From Mt Cooper I head down and start following Darebin Creek. For a few hundred metres you walk on the side of Bundoora Park Golf Course, before long though a trail to the side of it appears.
I stick to the left of Darebin Creek but you can cross over at some points to walk on a paved bike path. I prefer the left as it's mostly like a bushwalking trail.
