The word “Kfar” means town in Latin and the word “Matta” is Matthew’s Monastery. The history of the city goes back to six centuries and ruins in its neighborhood date back to the time of the Phoenicians and the Crusaders. It was also home to the Tanoukhi princes. One of the most famous tourist attractions in the town is the silk factory which was built in 1860. In addition to the historical heritage, it is characterized by its location overlooking Beirut which gives its mountainous nature a temperate climate and breathtaking beautiful natural scenery.
Unfortunately, my battery was running low so i couldn't record the remaining 2.5km back to the starting point.
The rocks are easily accessible by a 4x4 just in case.
The waypoint on the riverbed is a clean and flat area ideal for a camping spot.
