Descripció de l'itinerari
Steep start up to the plateau then along the Eastern ridge to the summit of Hengill. Quite saccadé, through canyons and rocky landscapes. No wind with temperatures around 20C, excellent conditions but quite hot. From Hengill, Southwards down past geothermal sources into a beautiful riverbed/crater. A special place to be. Walking alongside streams to the mouth of the crater and back down the steep incline to the start. Lovely hike.
