Parking at the Elgin Park / Stewart Farm turnoff. A historic Farmhouse and Farm Museum beside parking area.
To the east of the Farm, a pathway follows the Nicomekl River bank and skirts Nico-Wynd Golf Course.
To the west of the Farm, a trail network traverses thick forest, tidal marshes, and the riverside, with abundant bird activity. This is a shorebird Reserve Area (see photo for description of the reserve status).

Trail follows alongside road for awhile
Several large estate homes near the banks of the river, sheltered mooring areas with diverse types and ages of yachts.
Trail follows a narrow strip between river and golf course. Several benches. Diverse diving ducks and other seabirds, herons, eagles, a kingfisher seen in tree branches overhanging the river.
Can continue walk farther south along the Semiahmoo Trail, an ancient Native and settler Track.
