We set off up the track for 4km before breaking off to rise up Beinn a'Chochuill's south east ridge up to the crest which leads to the summit. Managed without crampons, but had to break trail as we were the first out and there was no obvious path which got quite icy towards the top. Superb views of the Cruachan hills in the west.
We returned along the crest to drop steeply to the col connecting us to Beinn Eunaich - this time with crampons which made crossing the ice sections easy. It was a steep rise to the summit cairn and quite windy on top, so we pushed on to follow the south ridge to descend down to the track leading us back to the car.
