a prop de Kirkjubær, Vestur-Isafjardarsysla (Ísland)
Across the fjord from the town of Ísafjörður, Ernir rises steeply from the sea. The first stage of the ascent is very easy and takes you to a cirque (bowl, corrie) where a guestbook is to be found. From there you proceed up the left hand flank of the bowl, up a gully/chute until you reach the top. Once you are at the top (and indeed on the way up) you get a fantastic view of the town - it is not much of an exaggeration to say that you can look down the chimneys of the houses there!
Although not dangerous, the route up that chute is a bit exposed and those posessing a particularly vivid imagination (otherwise known as "fear of heights" :-) probably shouldn't attempt it on their own.

23-JUL-07 13:52:25 - What can I say - if you want to record your exploit this is where you do it (presumably on the way down). Also a nice place for a cup of tea.

Í dag fékk ég mér staðsetningartæki og er að stíga mín fyrstu spor með það. Þetta er fyrsta kommentið mitt á Wikiloc. Það er við hæfi að prófa það við þessa frábæru gönguleið.
